A Tech Ops Trailblazer

When she’s not out and about with her six dogs, Bilyana heads up the Tech Ops team, the platform experts who glue everything together for the company and clients.

If you speak with Bilyana for five minutes, her passion for her work is crystal clear. Since joining tvScientific in 2022, her contributions have been crucial to growing a high-performing team and platform. Over 10 years in technical leadership have made her a jack-of-all-trades and a master of all.

Her team balances everything from client integrations (like pixel placing, outcome tracking, and campaign set-up) to troubleshooting and technical support. They act as “noise filters,” flagging the most critical issues before they reach our developers.

She Makes Everything Look Easy

Seeing every case as a puzzle to solve, it’s no wonder Bilyana conducts internal and external tech operations in complete harmony.

Recently, she's most proud of optimizing tvScientific's attribution model. Bilyana explains, "Our proprietary identity graph is a unique part of what we offer, and it contributes to tvScientific’s unique value to clients.”

This high-fidelity measurement enables tvScientific customers to run ads on TV that auto-optimize for the goals of their company. She adds, “Clients can launch quickly and seamlessly with us and now get a holistic image of all their marketing activities in one place.”

For Bilyana, learning is a lifelong passion, saying it’s a must-have in tech. She adds, “We have constantly evolving machine learning models with IQ behind our targeting, something Data Science does that is amazing. Our team innovates with every release, so we have to learn everything again and again!”

To Stream is to be Seen

Bilyana sees streaming as the future, noting that “cord-cutters” was the big conversation three years ago. She finds it fascinating that her sons (Millennial and Gen Z) are very willing to watch ads while streaming. She laughs, adding, “My sons didn’t even know what cable TV was.”

A 2024 study found 66% of the US’s 18-34-year-olds would rather watch ads than pay for a subscription service. Bilyana sees the ad experience quality as a huge factor during the advertising landscape’s evolution. She notes, “This will make proper tracking and attribution even more important.”

Bilyana shared some final thoughts on advertising on streaming platforms: “There are a lot of companies that will bank on impressions, but these might not yield your desired outcomes. It’s important to drive performance, not just impressions. Try it because it's effective. Try it with a company like tvSci that will be able to measure what's happening behind the scenes.”

Join the tvScientific Team!

Bilyana describes tvScientific as “full of competent, talented, driven people [she] can continue learning from and with.”

If her excitement sparks your interest, you’re not alone! Bilyana’s passion and warmth as a leader are contagious. In fact, over the years, multiple interviewees told her that her interview was why they accepted their offer.

When looking at candidates for her team, she pays close attention to their ability to explain technical concepts simply and to well-rounded critical thinking skills. A passion for tech and being unafraid to learn new things are also must-haves.

To get a leg up in your interview with Bilyana, she explains she doesn’t care what the right answer is. She cares more about how you think and how you arrive at your answer.

tvScientific is growing fast, and we're excited to welcome more passionate, talented people like Bilyana to the team!
