The tvSci Guide: July 2026 Edition

Read Time:

Scale smarter, prove cross-channel impact, and test a premium format built for trust.

July is when performance teams start planning the next push while still fighting for efficiency in-flight. This month’s updates help with three real problems advertisers feel every day:

  • Finding new converters without going broad
  • Proving TV’s role when the last click happens elsewhere
  • Testing premium formats that protect brand trust and still drive action

Product Highlights

Open beta: Build Lookalike Audiences in-app

Find more customers who convert like your best customers, with less back-and-forth.

What it is: Soon, you’ll be able to build Lookalike Audiences directly in tvScientific, instead of having them created manually.

Why customers care: Lookalikes are one of the cleanest ways to scale without guessing. This update makes it faster to launch prospecting tests that stay anchored to what actually converts.

Next step: If you want early access as it rolls out, reach out to your Account Manager.

TV Influence Report

See TV’s influence before the last click.

Asset 40@3x

What it is: The TV Influence Report tracks how a TV ad impression influences a user before they take a last-click action on another platform (like paid social or search).

Why customers care: Last click is rarely the full story. This report shows the cross-channel journey:

  • TV ad exposure
  • A last-touch click elsewhere
  • The final outcome

It helps you prove TV’s top-of-funnel value, especially when other channels get the conversion credit.

Next step: Use this view to align your channel owners and plan budgets with fewer blind spots.

Pause Ads

Show up when the viewer pauses, in a premium brand-safe moment.

pause-ads

What it is: Pause Ads are a full-screen CTV format designed to appear when viewers pause content themselves across live, VOD, and DVR inventory.

Why customers care:

  • Brand safety and trust: A consumer-initiated moment can feel more additive and less interruptive than standard in-stream formats.
  • More time on screen: Longer pause moments can create more opportunity for awareness, recall, and visual impact.
  • Turn awareness into action: QR and second-screen behavior can drive traffic, app downloads, offer redemption, surveys, and more
  • Low lift to test: Often built from existing video, social, and digital assets.

Who it’s for: Brand and performance teams who want premium visibility without relying only on disruptive in-stream formats, and marketers interested in sequencing across formats.

Next Step:  If you want to test Pause Ads, ask your Account Manager about starting inventory and creative specs.
